"Balikpapan a peaceful clean town in East Kalimantan. Unlike Surabaya where the traffic congestion & smog is terrible, Balikpapan offers less congested street, clean & airy near the coastline. Beautiful peaceful Muslims & other races co exist together. Food was good especially Nasi Padang, BakSo beef ox tail soup & the green chili sambal. Must try."

"We had a great time here. The steak was really good quality and well made. There’s also a few good bottles of red and white wine accompanied with live music which was surprisingly quite good. Didn’t expect such a cool atmosphere in Balikpapan. Definitely worth stopping by."
